Dear Supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gallatin County,
Our organization is strong. We are improving the lives of children in southwest Montana, and we are strengthening this growing community’s ability to connect. We offer hope and mentorship to children, and we build one another up. One crucial reason we are in this privileged position is because of our CEO for the past 8 years, Neelie Burman.
Neelie began her commitment to BBBSGC 20 years ago, first as an Enrollment and Match Support Specialist, then as VP of Programs, later as COO, and finally as CEO. Her belief in our mission and knack for forming relationships has led us to great heights: we are financially stable, our events successful, and most important, our children are succeeding.
After giving so much of herself, Neelie is moving to other interests. Her support for BBBSGC is unwavering, and she hands over the reins with confidence. We are grateful for her dedication and positive spirit.
Want to thank Neelie for her years of service? Join us in one or both of the following!
- Give a gift here in Neelie’s honor.
- Leave a message of thanks on our Facebook page.
While BBBSGC’s Board of Directors works to name a replacement, Chief Operating Officer Megan Cummings is interim CEO. Please contact us at 406-587-1216 with any questions. Board President Kendra Farrar can be reached at 406-600-8940.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gallatin County will continue to serve children through 1-to-1 mentorship. Thank you, Neelie, for all the lives you have touched! We wish you the best, and we know you’ll stay in touch.

A special message from Neelie Burman, CEO, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gallatin County:
It is with a heavy heart that I let you know that I have resigned as CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gallatin County. After 20 years of working here, I have realized it’s time for me to move on and look for a new career. I am honored to have met and worked with so many great people in our community. I have established some great relationships throughout the years and truly couldn’t have done this job without the support of people like you.
I know many people will be surprised to see this email and please don’t hesitate to call me. My last day will be August 17th but I will FOREVER support Big Brothers Big Sisters as I hope all of you will, too.
